Meet The Wines

  • Vinalia x Domaine Poiron-Dabin, Berligou

    France, 2019

Richer in tannin and fuller in spice and earth tones than one might expect from other clones of Pinot Noir, this Berligou immediately demonstrates its royal pedigree with an intricate mélange of fresh, violet pastille, and forest floor notes that evoke the crunch of fallen leaves. Complex and long, yet elegant and deceptively inviting, this Berligou is as refreshing in the summer as it is comforting underneath a blanket, curled up against the fire.

  • Vinalia x Bosinakis,
    Moschofilero Rosé

    Greece, 2022

A rare pink expression of Moschofilero, this wine combines the seductive jasmine and white rose floral aromatics signature of the grape variety with the crushed, cold strawberry and raspberry flavors enjoyed of dry rosé. Complex and flamboyantly flavorful, the wine delivers that snappy, salty finish that makes it the perfect accompaniment to a hot summer day.

  • Vinalia x Ronco delle Betulle, Friulano

    Italy, 2021

This Friulano is en route to being an orange wine, but is refreshing and gently enough so that it isn’t quite. A few days of skin contact gives the wine a subtle waxy texture, complemented by flavors of green apple skin, pear, quince, and fresh grass. Watch as this wine transforms in the glass over the course of the evening as it enjoys some air.

  • Vinalia x Cave Spring, Riesling

    Canada, 2021

The wine illicits all the classic earthy and floral Cabernet Franc notes—crushed violets, cracked pepper, tobacco leaf—punctuated by generous raspberry and black plum flavors. Framed by suave, velvety tannins and elongated with a bright, dark-fruited acidity, the wine demonstrates length and ageworthiness.

  • Vinalia x Bisquertt, Carignan

    Chile, 2022

With a concentration that can be attributed to the gnarly vines, averaging over 70 years in age, from which this Carignan is harvested, the wine exemplifies the majesty of Chile’s old vineyards. Spicy and crunchy in its woodsy, autumnal flavors and its rustic tannins, the Carignan shows a second side in its youthful and pure berry notes—cranberry, raspberry, and red currant. That surprising juxtaposition evokes the wine’s complexity and mouthwatering appeal.

  • Vinalia x Bodegas Verum, Cencibel Roble

    Spain, 2020

Tasting of red cherries and macerated strawberries, this Cencibel (aka Tempranillo) also shows a classic Spanish savoriness—sagebrush, dry earth, olive pit. The aging in tinajas contributes a stony minerality and freshness to this youthful expression of Spain’s most famous grape.

  • BOSINAKIS

Regarded as one of the very finest interpreters of Moschofilero in the whole of Greece, Bosinakis has been a family affair since its inception in 1992. The new generation took over in 2009, when brother-sister team Sotiris and Katerina Bosinakis took the reins of the winery. Among their contributions was a renewed and passionate focus on quality. The siblings will also gleefully share a vertical of Moschofilero going back several years, showing that contrary to certain assumptions, Moschofilero has the structure and complexity to age with grace.

  • RONCO DELLE BETULLE

Founded in 1967 by Giovanbattista Adami, Ronco delle Betulle continues in family hands. First passed onto his daughter Ivana in the 1980s, Ivana is today joined by her son, winemaker Simone Sechi. Located in the Rosazzo subzone of Friuli Colli Orientali, Ronco delle Betulle’s 12 hectares are farmed certified organic. Ivana and Simone focus on native grape varieties, including Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Refosco and the hyperlocal rarity Pignolo.

  • DOMAINE POIRON-DABIN

With nearly two centuries of winegrowing under their belt, the Poiron-Dabin family’s roots in the Loire Valley run deep. The family’s history as vignerons is documented as early as 1858, though it remains likely that their experience in the area extends back further. The modern winery traces its origins to the marriage of Jean Poiron to Thérèse Dabin in 1962. Jean and Thérèse each retired around the turn of the millennium, passing the baton to their two sons, who continue to steward the estate today.

  • BODEGAS VERUM

Verum Wineries and Vineyards, located in Tomelloso within the renowned wine region of La Mancha, is a family-owned winery deeply rooted in tradition. With a clear focus on the vineyard and a commitment to authenticity, Verum produces exceptional wines that reflect the truth of the grapes. Bodegas Verum was founded on the belief that the true essence of wine resides in the vineyard. In a region dominated by large-scale producers, Verum stands as a distinguished and innovative family winery.
