    Susumaniello

    Italy, 2021

    A rich, juicy wine that tastes of sun-soaked raisins and roasted plums. Hearty, rustic, and palate-coating, this Susumaniello carries notes of raspberry liqueur, wilted basil, rosemary, blackberry jam, and vanilla bean. A kiss of sweetness brings you straight to the shining summer days of Southern Italy.

  • Vinalia x ArmAs, Karmrahyut Rosé

    Armenia, 2021

    A deep dry rosé that straddles the line with a light-bodied red, this rich but refreshing offering from ArmAs bursts from the glass with expressive watermelon and cold raspberry flavor. Notes of hibiscus, pomegranate, blood orange, and sweet spice contribute further complexity to this fuchsia-colored wine. This is a rosé for red wine drinkers and a rare example that can age.

    A powerful, ageworthy red, this Vranec lives up to its name’s translation of “black stallion.” Hearty, rich, with a lingering pillar of tannic strength, the wine tastes of grilled plums, blackberry liqueur, and soft baking spices. A hearty wine that is just at home curled up by the fireplace as it is next to the grill.

    North Macedonia, 2021

  • ARMAS

    Founded by Armenak Aslanian in 2007, ArmAs has been at the forefront of Armenia’s indigenous grape movement. Today, his daughter Victoria is at the helm as CEO of the family winery. She joins a long lineage of winegrowers, with the name ArmAs itself a tribute to her great-grandfather and a portmanteau of Armenak Aslanian, Sr. While Victoria manages the property, Emilio Del Medico crafts the wines. Hailing from Italy’s Friuli region, Del Medico brings international know-how to these distinctly Armenian grapes.

  • STOBI

    Founded in 2009 in North Macedonia’s acclaimed Tikveš wine region, Stobi Winery is among the country’s finest modern wine producers. Today, Stobi Winery continues its dedication to local winemaking traditions, with over half of red plantings across its sprawling 500 hectares of vineyard dedicated to Vranec, the North Macedonian specialty. Among the most globally decorated wineries in North Macedonia, with recognition from Decanter and Mundus Vini, Stobi is a benchmark for both Tikveš and the region at large.

  • BODEGAS VERUM

    Verum Wineries and Vineyards, located in Tomelloso within the renowned wine region of La Mancha, is a family-owned winery deeply rooted in tradition. Bodegas Verum was founded on the belief that the true essence of wine resides in the vineyard. It is within the vines, many of which are over 50 years old, that their fullest expression is achieved. Their dedication to reviving traditional local varieties and exploring diverse grape varieties has garnered international acclaim. In a region dominated by large-scale producers, Verum stands as a distinguished and innovative family winery.

  • BOSINAKIS

    Regarded as one of the very finest interpreters of Moschofilero in the whole of Greece, Bosinakis has been a family affair since its inception in 1992. The new generation took over in 2009, when brother-sister team Sotiris and Katerina Bosinakis took the reins of the winery. Among their contributions was a renewed and passionate focus on quality. The siblings will also gleefully share a vertical of Moschofilero going back several years, showing that contrary to certain assumptions, Moschofilero has the structure and complexity to age with grace.

  • TENUTA VIGLIONE

    Founded in 1937, Tenuta Viglione remains a family-owned operation, run by Giovanni Zullo and his offspring. Nested on some of the highest altitude terroirs in Puglia’s Gioia del Colle region, Viglione’s vineyard are certified organic and devoted to the area’s native and signiature grape varieties, among them Primitivo, Susumaniello, Negroamaro, and Verdeca. Their work has been awarded Gambero Rosso’s prestigious Tre Bicchieri prize.
