Meet The Wines

  • Vinalia x Tóth Ferenc, Egri Bikavér Selection

    Hungary, 2018

Robust and virile, this Bikavér lives up to its translation, “bull’s blood.” Aged nearly two years in oak barrels, this structured red blend seduces with its brambly notes of cranberry, blackberry, and roasted plum. Woody, earthy tones of dried tobacco, autumn leaves, and graphite provide the wine with a distinctive heartiness to warm the soul in the year’s colder months.

  • Vinalia x Domaine Poiron-Dabin, Les Clefs du Secret

    France, 2020

A quintessential summertime wine, this is the rare red that with a little bit of a chill can help cool you off in the warmer months. Fresh raspberry and red currant flavors mix with violet and earthier tones. And while the smallest part of the blend, the Cabernet Franc packs a punch with its signature white pepper notes.

  • Vinalia x Cave Spring, Cabernet Franc

    Canada, 2021

This Cabernet Franc from Cave Spring proves why so many winegrowers on the Niagara Peninsula rightfully find so much potential for this grape in Ontario. The wine illicits all the classic earthy and floral Cabernet Franc notes—crushed violets, cracked pepper, tobacco leaf—punctuated by generous raspberry and black plum flavors. Framed by suave, velvety tannins and elongated with a bright, dark-fruited acidity, the wine demonstrates length and ageworthiness.

  • Vinalia x Tenuta Viglione, Susumaniello

    Italy, 2021

A rich, juicy wine that tastes of sun-soaked raisins and roasted plums. Hearty, rustic, and palate-coating, this Susumaniello carries notes of raspberry liqueur, wilted basil, rosemary, blackberry jam, and vanilla bean. A kiss of sweetness brings you straight to the shining summer days of Southern Italy.

  • Vinalia x Bisquertt, Carignan

    Chile, 2022

With a concentration that can be attributed to the gnarly vines, averaging over 70 years in age, from which this Carignan is harvested, the wine exemplifies the majesty of Chile’s old vineyards. Spicy and crunchy in its woodsy, autumnal flavors and its rustic tannins, the Carignan shows a second side in its youthful and pure berry notes—cranberry, raspberry, and red currant. That surprising juxtaposition evokes the wine’s complexity and mouthwatering appeal.

  • Vinalia x Stobi, Vranec

    North Macedonia, 2016

A powerful, ageworthy red, this Vranec lives up to its name’s translation of “black stallion.” Hearty, rich, with a lingering pillar of tannic strength, the wine tastes of grilled plums, blackberry liqueur, and soft baking spices. A hearty wine that is just at home curled up by the fireplace as it is next to the grill. Enjoy with hearty meats, stews, BBQ, and any grill outs.
